Pressure-controlled linear friction welding of galvanized steel sheets

چکیده

The galvanized steel sheet has been used widely in various fields. However, zinc, which a low melting temperature, evaporates and penetrates into the joint during conventional welding process, thus temperature process is required. Linear Friction Welding (LFW) solid-state joining uses friction heat generated at interface when materials are butted together. Recent studies reported that lower higher applied pressure LFW. Therefore, this expected to suppress evaporation of zinc. In study, was welded by LFW pressures. effect galvanization on depends whether above or below zinc layer. non-uniformity flash increased time, embrittlement cracking occur temperature. high prevents As result, discharged outside while remaining surface, joints without defects can be successfully obtained.
